Easy Foto Box
The Photo Album Manager is a GPL application for managing large collections of photos and videos. Since it makes sense to dedicate a computer for this purpose, I've developed an installer to make this as easy as possible. No system administration skills required!
Photo Album Manager
A comprehensive tool, using an industrial-quality database management system, for handling large numbers of digital images and videos. Easy for anyone to use, but installing and configuring it yourself calls for some GNU system administration skills. Most folks should use Easy Foto Box to install it.

Build a backup server, set up automatic backups of all your home machines, sleep soundly.
Compiling a Linux Kernel Using Debian's kernel-package
My notes on how to do it right, thanks to my colleagues in NOVALUG.

Notes on compiling Debian packages, plus some .debs. In particular, a fixed version of the indispensable xless.
Host Configuration Scripts for Debian
Configure a Debian GNU/Linux server or workstation as a webserver with PHP and a PostgreSQL backend. This is what I use for production servers to run my web applications.
Host Configuration Scripts for Kubuntu
Configure a Kubuntu (Ubuntu with KDE) GNU/Linux server or workstation as a webserver with PHP and a PostgreSQL backend. This is what I use for workstations to develop my web applications.
PHP Web Kit
Common components and scripts for building web-based services that access PostgreSQL databases.
Testing Web Applications using Selenium and Selenium IDE
My notes on these wonderful utilities. This is what I use for regression-testing my web applications.

Applications

EWOK
A program for synthesizing a particular class of mechanisms called four-bar linkages to produce specific coupler motions. This reproduces the capabilities of the software I developed for my Master's thesis, but it has a way to go to be a generally useful product. When I get time…

Odds and Ends

Installing Lotus Notes 6.5 under Wine
My cruel employer requires me to use Lotus Notes, so I finally got around to trying Wine. The result is acceptable. From time to time, changes in Notes or changes in Wine make things break, but the Wine folks are pretty good at making it work again.
Pawpaws
My notes on finding, harvesting and growing this fantastic native American fruit.
Recipes
Yes, really.
Time Travel
My personal notes on this occasionally annoying phenomenon.
That Spinning Cylinder
Another curious phenomenon.
