The Enlightened Sound Daemon requires the following:
NOTE: please use the version of the audiofile library from the Gnomeproject. It is a little more friendly to EsounD as far as configuration goes.
Currently, this is only tested (by me) under Linux/OSS. It is reported to work to varying degrees on Linux/ALSA, Solaris, Irix, HP-UX, and *BSD. Ports to other platforms are requested. Basic drivers for other platforms are in the distribution, but may need work from what's in the driver_platform.c files.
