To compile the package, first download the source.
Next, extract the files from the archive file, and change
into the newly created "esound-0.2.8" directory, and type
"configure ; make". The sound daemon, and the
command line utilities should build as is.
Finally, as root, type "make install".
This should copy all relevant files to useful/accessible places.
Depending on your platform, you may need to set your LD_LIBRARY_PATH
variable, or reset your shared library configuration
