We got rid of almost all of it. Things were looking pretty bleak even as late as 3:30pm; then Jeff looked at me and said,"Okay, is all this stuff free now?" We then annouced FREE STUFF at the top of our lungs, and people started to trickle over to our booth. Then Jeff had the idea to contact the man behind the fairgrounds-wide PA system, and he announced that we were giving away FREE STUFF to anyone willing to haul it away. Almost immediately we were descended upon by no fewer than 20 guys who took away a LOT of stuff. There was some particularly useless crap left over after they were done, but the pile was _much_ less daunting afterwards, even though it was still enough to fill up most of Jeff's and my cars. That stuff went into the hamfest dumpster.

I think we sold about $550 worth and brought in around $40 in donations. Yesterday was far more lucrative as far as sales went (we sold $400 worth, $0 in donations) but I'm very glad we were there both days to sell; we sold way more _pounds_ of stuff today. The "free stuff" period was, in itself, fairly lucrative, because that's when most of the donations rolled in.
