Friday at the track, April 7, 2000

I've managed to get a fair amount of seat time this season. I did the FATT in March and April, the Mazda Sportscar Club of Washington school at VIR in May and the National Capital Chapter of the BMW CCA school in June, a Car Guys school in July, another NCC school in August, and FATT in September.

The only mods I've made to the car since I originally put this page up were to get a set of full tread Toyo RA1s from Radial Tire in Silver Spring mounted on the stock wheels as rain tires and to replace the stock engine management software with a Landshark chip. Both were great additions.

I wrote a story about the driving school I did on May 20 & 21, 2000. It didn't occur to me to bring a camera, so there's no pictures :( Anyway, here's the story

I got some pictures taken of me driving my 1987 BMW 325iS at the April 7 Friday At The Track (FATT). The car is pretty much stock except for the Turner Motorsports J-Stock suspension kit and safety equipment. It's riding on 15x7 Kosei K1 racing wheels with 225/50 Khumo V700 Victoracer tires I bought from the Tire Rack. My instructor was Mike Wendell , a local SCCA ITB racer. FATT is a 1 day drivers school held about once a month and run by Bill Scott Racing at the Summit Point Raceway in West Virginia. The pictures were taken by David Newman of Photosports Imaging using a digital camera.
