In order of priority:

• More documentation on the various configuration registers (I will only describe those registers that could affect GNU/Linux operation).
• Send my Cyrix patch to Linus for inclusion in the 2.2.x series kernels.

Acknowledgments

Koen Gadeyne wrote the set6x86 utility for GNU/Linux. The documentation included with set6x86 was the starting point for these pages, and Koen has always been kind to answer my many tech questions. Thanks, Koen!

Ian J. Peters wrote an Xforms front-end to set6x86 called f6x86. From an Email exchange I had with Ian, he may convert f6x86 to libFL (libFL is a new, compatible X toolkit library placed under GPL, unlike XForms; it can be statically compiled since it's also comparatively small) and add some new features in the next few months.

Mikael Johansson wrote a shareware DOS utility called 6x86opt.

Mike Jagdis wrote the original Linux kernel patches for the Cyrix CPUs.

Nigel Metheringham adapted Mike's patch for the 2.0.25 kernel.
