Date: Mon, 25 Aug 1997 13:15:25 -0400 From: "John A. Martin" Subject: rsync-1.6.3-2 rpms To: redhat-announce-list@redhat.com X-Mailing-List: archive/latest/581 -----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- I have put rsync-1.6.3-2.i386.rpm rsync-1.6.3-2.src.rpm to ftp.redhat.com:/pub/incoming from ftp://linux.wauug.org:/pub/dclug/jam. $ rpm -q --qf '%{description}\n' rsync rsync is a faster flexible replacement for rcp allowing rapid and network efficient synchronization of files or directories on different machines by transferring just the differences between those directories in a compressed form. It doesn't need either machine to have a copy of what is on the other. A technical report describing the rsync algorithm is included in this package. $ rpm -q --qf 'Changes\n[%{changelogtime:date} %{changelogname}\n%{changelogtext}\n]' rsync Changes Mon Aug 25 18:00:00 1997 John A. Martin Built 1.6.3-2 after finding no rsync-1.6.3-1.src.rpm although there was an ftp://ftp.redhat.com/pub/contrib/alpha/rsync-1.6.3-1.alpha.rpm showing no packager nor signature but giving "Source RPM: rsync-1.6.3-1.src.rpm". Changes from 1.6.2-1 packaging: added '$RPM_OPT_FLAGS' to make, strip to '%build', removed '%prefix'. Thu Apr 10 18:00:00 1997 Michael De La Rue rsync-1.6.2-1 packaged. (This entry by jam to credit Michael for the previous package(s).) $ RPMs for other architectures should, I believe, build from this src.rpm without difficulty. These packages are signed with the same key as this message. The public key is available from the public servers and from finger jam@linux.wauug.org http://linux.wauug.org/~jam/jam-keys.html jam -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: 2.6.3a Charset: noconv Comment: Processed by Mailcrypt 3.4, an Emacs/PGP interface iQCVAwUBNAG9W2ZSfysERW1TAQHMWQQAgJf/pHpb/TTxIRCd81SWQiayID08OEh7 EBNnWR47nOE87z86XmMAecGBp+iJHGEXOb9pu5IrqKsf7D1qaAQeUHT0K86inzc/ 4nn7/nHGF3UzciwNdJ+Ihpm9h/GT2prZmfqors7RTUZQ9DLHhrXE0HoOb5Mdh4t1 iWZ1/scK/xw= =bUg7 -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- To unsubscribe: mail -s unsubscribe redhat-announce-list-request@redhat.com < /dev/null
