Would you like to meet your fellow users? InstallFests and monthly User Group meetings are the way to start. User Group meetings allow you mingle and exchange information with like-minded individuals. They are often the source for excellent technical presentations by members or visting vendors. Many groups maintain informative websites and mailing lists to share technical information.

And lest you think it is all technical interaction, some groups hold regular social events and parties.

So get out there and get involved. You'll be glad you did.

If you are a webmaster or leader of a new Linux User Group on the eastern coast of North America, we'd like to link to you. Send your link and relevant contact information to 'webmaster' at tux dot org.
