An InstallFest is where you can get help installing Linux on your machine. You bring it, along with some essential accessories such as monitor, keyboard, etc. to the Fest. There, members of the local Linux Users Group will have a network and server loaded with the latest Linux distributions. You plug your machine into the network, and start the installation.

If you have problems, help is at hand in the form of the members. Further, frequently Red Hat Inc. will be there as well.
