FOSE 30th Anniversary Year -- March 7 - 9, 2006 at the Washington DC Convention Center
FOSE: April 5-7, 2005 Tux.Org, Inc. is once again a participant in FOSE! "The event in the Washington, DC area where the Government meets Technology. February 2005 Tux.Org., Inc. will be holding its elections this month. Please check out the details on the elections webpages.
20 June 2004: SuSE 9.1 Personal ISO is out now on SuSE mirrors. Local torrents removed. Local HTTP limited to 20 concurrent.
5 May 2004: Three popular ISO files recently uploaded, and demand is high. Expect slower network and contention for ftp slots. KNOPPIX 3.4 TheOpenCD 1.4 SuSE 9.1
29 Nov 2003: Mandrake 9.2 isos are now available on tux.org. Traffic load is high. Expect heavy usage for a few days.
21 August 2002: Tux.Org server relocated successfully! Thanks to our gracious host RCN we have moved our server to a new home. This is the first major outage in years and our uptime was over 190 days.
14 February 2002: FOSE has invited the Linux Users' Groups in the Washington Metro area back for a third year! The dates are March 19-21 at the Washingon Convention Center. You will find the Linux Users' Groups on the second floor with the rest of the 'Big Boys'.

20 October 2001:Dr. Richard Stallman, founder and President of the Free Software Foundation, and Eben Moglen, Professor of Law at Columbia Law School and General Counsel for the FSF, will speak at George Washington University's Cyberspace Policy Institute in Washington, D.C., October 10, 2001 at the CPI's Free Software Conference: "Free Software: the Free Market/Free Speech Solution to the Microsoft Antitrust Problem."
