TZones 1.7

DESCRIPTION
===========
This is TZones, a simple world clock. The program features:

- pro & iii compatible
- local time, date display according to Pilot preference (Formats)
- spinning earth animation (totally useless, of course!)
- optional Mercator map display
- four analog and five digital clocks
- four menus of 37 world cities
- reversible-face clocks
- optional display of Universal Coordinated Time (UTC)
- saved preferences

USE
===
1. Start the app.  
2. Select your UTC (for example, EST is -5). 
3. Select DST if needed (a small reminder, "dst", will be shown at bottom
of screen). 
4. Change each clock by selecting a city from a City menu.
5. Your settings will be saved unless you install a new version. 
6. Enjoy!

BUGS
====
- Daylight Savings Times may not be handled properly for different
  countries (not everyone uses it, even in U.S., like parts of Indiana, 
  and the state of Arizona). A fix has been attempted in the current
  version, in which the time for a city in a country known not to use
  DST will not be changed if you select DST.
- should use a database of cities.  
- should allow any UTC zone to use (i feel bad about this, and am now
  working to put this feature in the next version)

                  selected - i like this idea and may pursue for the
                  next version.

Mike Kelly - wants to input his own city names and time zone for cities
             (working on it, dude!)

Michael Tabak - wants to move clocks (working on it!); wants am/pm option 
                (this will definitely be in the next version)

VERSION HISTORY
===============
1.7         - added Mercator projection map; fixed rotation of the earth
              (thanks to the user who said it was backwards (can't find
               your email message)).

1.6 6/18/98 - Barry did it again - fixed a bug where the local GMT offset
              was not saved in preferences - way to go, dude!

1.5 6/16/98 - fixed bug in Daylight Savings calculation thanks to 
              Barry Black!

1.4 6/15/98 - fixed version uploaded and ready; added Stockholm and
              Frankfurt to the cities menus.

1.4 6/11/98 - oops! bad version out for five hours; shut down for bug fixes
            - fixed Paris' settings
            - ripped guts out of the time calculation to calculate from
              UTC, not local time

1.3 6/10/98 - now saves settings preferences
            - fixed Moscow's settings

1.2 6/8/98  - added menu detection to restart animation following no
              menuitem selection of a menu (required #define NON_PORTABLE) 
            - version now at 1.2 in resource file
            - added leading zero to midnight, am times for 24-hour clocks
